Wyming Brook Nature Reserve

A steep rocky stream tumbling through conifer woodland, one of the wildest walks inside the city.

Wyming Brook drops sharply from the Redmires moors down to the Rivelin reservoirs through boulders, pines and tumbling water, looking far more remote than its position inside the city boundary suggests.

The main track is rough underfoot but straightforward, and the reserve is good for crossbills, dippers and deer.
