Rivelin Dams

The upper and lower Rivelin dams were built in the 1840s to supply the growing city, and their stone embankments and overflow channels are impressive pieces of Victorian waterworks.

A flat path circles the water with views out to the moors, and the Rivelin Valley nature trail drops away downstream towards the old mill ponds.
