Ringinglow & Houndkirk Moor
The moorland edge of the city, with an old turnpike track straight out onto open heather.
Ringinglow is the last hamlet before the moors, with the octagonal Round House toll bar and a pub at the crossroads, and it marks where Sheffield stops and the Peak District starts.
From here the old Houndkirk Road runs as a rough track across open heather moor towards Burbage, an easy, exposed walk or ride with the city laid out behind you.
