Whiteley Woods is a stretch of old woodland following the Porter Brook, threaded with paths, footbridges and the dams that once powered grinding wheels along the valley.

Shepherd Wheel sits at its lower end and Forge Dam cafe at the upper, making the wood the quiet middle of one of Sheffield's best-loved walks.
