Mappin Art Gallery

A grand neoclassical gallery attached to Weston Park Museum, free to enter.

The Mappin opened in 1887 to hold the collection left to the city by the steel manufacturer John Newton Mappin, and its top-lit galleries still show Victorian painting alongside major touring exhibitions.

It shares a building and an entrance with Weston Park Museum, so the two are easily visited together, and both are free.
