Five Weirs Walk

A riverside path along the Don, past the weirs and mills that powered the steel city.

The Five Weirs Walk follows the River Don for around five miles from Lady's Bridge in the city centre out to Meadowhall, threading between weirs, old works and new wildflower banks.

It is flat, traffic-free and full of industrial archaeology — and kingfishers and herons have come back to the water.
