Burbage Valley & Higger Tor
Gritstone edges, a flat-topped tor and an Iron Age fort, fifteen minutes from the city.

Burbage Valley runs beneath a line of gritstone edges much loved by climbers, with the blunt outline of Higger Tor rising on the far side and the ramparts of Carl Wark fort between them.
The circuit from the roadside parking is short, easy to follow and gives moorland views in every direction — the quickest taste of the Peak from Sheffield.
