The Sheffield Tap
A restored Edwardian station refreshment room with its own brewery behind the bar.
The Sheffield Tap occupies the Edwardian first-class refreshment room on platform 1B, rescued from dereliction in 2009 with its tilework, mahogany and barrel-vaulted ceiling intact.
The old dining room behind it now houses a small brewery, visible through glass, and the bar keeps a long list of cask and imported beer. It is the best possible first or last stop of a visit.
