The Leadmill

Sheffield's most famous independent music venue, where Pulp and the Arctic Monkeys cut their teeth.

Open since 1980 in a former flour mill near the station, the Leadmill is the venue most closely tied to Sheffield's music history — early shows by Pulp, the Human League, Coldplay and the Arctic Monkeys, and club nights that have run for decades.

It still programmes touring bands most nights of the week alongside its indie club nights.

Highlights
