Yorkshire Wildlife Park is known for its very large enclosures, including Project Polar, one of the biggest polar bear reserves outside the Arctic, alongside lions, tigers, giraffes, rhinos and lemurs you can walk among.

It is roughly a 45-minute drive from Sheffield and works as a full day out, with wide flat paths, play areas and plenty of food outlets.
