Magna Science Adventure Centre
A vast former steelworks turned hands-on science centre, with a fire-breathing arc furnace show.
Magna occupies the enormous Templeborough melting shop, keeping the dark steelworks interior and building four pavilions inside it for earth, air, fire and water — all hands-on.
The highlight is the Big Melt, a sound-and-light show that fires up an original electric arc furnace, and there is a large outdoor water and adventure play area in summer.
