National Videogame Museum

A hands-on museum of playable games, from arcade cabinets to the machines that built the industry.

The National Videogame Museum is a charity museum where nearly everything is playable: arcade cabinets, home consoles across four decades, game-making stations and rotating exhibitions on how games are designed.

It moved into the city centre in 2018 and works well with children and with anyone who grew up on a Spectrum or a Mega Drive. Tickets usually allow re-entry across the day.
