Graves Gallery
Sheffield's free art gallery on the top floor of the Central Library, strong on British modern art.

The Graves holds Sheffield's fine art collection — Turner watercolours, Sickert, Spencer, Riley and a solid run of 20th-century British painting — in a calm suite of rooms above the Central Library.
It is free, rarely crowded, and small enough to see properly in an hour. Displays are rehung regularly and there is a good programme of contemporary shows alongside the permanent collection.
