Hillsborough Stadium
Sheffield Wednesday's home in the Don valley, one of English football's great old grounds.
Hillsborough has been Sheffield Wednesday's ground since 1899 and holds around 39,000, making it one of the largest stadiums outside the Premier League. It hosted World Cup matches in 1966 and many FA Cup semi-finals.
A memorial at the ground remembers the 97 Liverpool supporters who died in the 1989 disaster. The stadium is a short tram and bus ride north-west of the centre.
